Long Term Rental/ Short Term Lease Required

This is my first post….so please be gentle with me, and if I have posted in the wrong section, I apologise

 

 

We (Me & Wife) are taking a 6 month break from work and would like to travel the canals. We are looking to do this in April/May to Sept/Oct, next year. We are fairly experienced holiday boaters, and have only just returned from 2 weeks on the G.U.

 

Eventually getting to the point……..Does anyone know of a company that will rent a fairly high spec boat for 6 months?

 

I was considering buying one, but due to our home location (Kent), we wouldn’t get the best use out of it. This is something we shall do when we retire, which is 12 years away. I have considered buying a boat and then selling it after our break, but that leaves a lot of money tied up in a period when we are not earning. Perhaps I should just be reckless
