Hey up, I've had a little check on the others posts here and it's all ran over my head a little. A few weeks ago i had an issue with no power getting to my ignition, i took the panel out and fiddled with the connections, and also the isolator switch, afterwards all fine. Until... a few days ago, batteries much lower than expected, new from 3 months ago, not enough to turn over the engine, anyway after some fun fixing my genny i got enough power to jump the engine. Soon realised there was a horrendous rattle going on which could be stopped by flicking the power distribution off battery feed, leaving my Lister doing it's normal chug. Borrowed a meter, alternator output low, got a new one, charge batteries up, boom and away. All good, but something else has gone wrong, or caused the issue in the first place as now when i turn the ignition all the way round the light goes off, and only when i step back does the engine then kick in. Also the rattle is back on full ignition turn but stepping back gets rid of this. Have i a problem in my switch, mistake on the wiring, or the starter motor, Can post pictures. I'm not an expert in this area so best to not to presume i've covered the right areas. Also is a starter issue like this going to damage the lister or just knacker the starter. Cheers

Hi I have a lister sr2 coupled with an LH150 hydraulic reversing gearbox. While checking the engine I noticed that the prop shaft did a complete revolution on starting up (in neutral) then started to creep very slowly. I have checked the oil levels in the gearbox and clutch and they're both normal. Is this normal or do I have a problem? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Mazer
