If the 12 volts stays on then anything running on this will drain the batteries further.
Can you not adapt your intake lead so that there is two feeds from your shore line, one to the boat via the victron charger and one direct to the dehumidifier. therefore if the shoreline fails, then the boat will be left with a full charge and nothing much being drawn from it.

Can you take your tiff somewhere else. You know who you are.............
This is a good thread that has stayed pretty much on topic for a long time
Please don't spoil it by turning it in to another 'lets trade personal insults at each other'
Seconded

And with no money to maintain it
Then when it sinks, it will have to be craned out again at CRTs expense!
-
rather ironic then that the most likely person to pay that price is a liveaboard without mooring
-
It's an old wooden boat that needs work.
The price is, in my opinion, realistic but they'll probably end up getting a lot less.
Wooden boats never make much money.
All boats need money spent on them, wooden ones more so. Good luck to anyone brave enough!

When we had Banstead taken out before we bought it. We had to hire a crane for the day at a cost of 1.2k we were not onsite that day, so the boatyard shifted at least 6 other boats and we paid for the lot + were liable for any punchers!

Well done. It good to change the inside to suit your needs. We did with Bodmin and it now works very well for us. I'm glad you finally found the boat for you and she's a beauty.

I'll teach you for selling the horse for 6 magic beans!

Hitting the child with the mop I think. Why else would his hand be on the end of the mop? More purchase for a good prod. Women understandably distraught.

Even today you can get a knock on your door from the salvation army expecting a cuppa, due to the red band! Has made me think twice about having one!
They also chained their children to the chimney as well. don't think that I'll try that in this day and age!

Still in Ricky. Unusual conversion. Good looking boat.

Skim read the post, its been a long week.my last post is of no help at all!So how would this account for the basin tap being plenty hot enough and only the kitchen tap running cool?
My guess is B0atman is almost right. Modern shower mixers are capable of contaminating the hot supply with cold when the non return valves on their inlet pipes jam OPEN. This is because the ON/OFF valve on a modern mixer is on the mixed outlet.

Air lock in the coil through the calorifier. Loosen the highest connection on the coil and see if air comes out.
Hope it helps

Wood and coal 200 would seem a bit optimistic to me. That's approx 16 bags of homefire.
Sundries are likely to be a lot more.
Toilet products etc.
The main thing about living on a boat is, if you think that something needs doing, do it straight away. if you think I'll do it tomorrow, you'll regret it.

You can walk down there via a public footpath, the old towpath I assume. Boats can still get there, but need to back in or out. Restorstions are in progress as well as some boats that look beyond repair in the rushes.

Looks like Braunston to me. Michael Faringdon has cut buttys down over the years to make motors. He will have used the cabin end to make the front of another boat. I would rather see the original butty personally, but it might not financially have been worth to save as a butty, but two motors are!

Wear your hard hat and body armour for stones and have chemical gloves for your weed hatch!

Which would you prefer?
