Hi, we have just purchased a 43ft narrowboat which was built in 1986 by Delph Lock Boats. The boat is currently moored on the Canal du Midi in France. I have looked on the internet, but can find no mention of the boatyard. Does anyone have any information on it? It has probably closed, but it would be nice to know where the boat was built and by whom. Thanks.

Hi, as we're just about to purchase our first narrowboat (in France) I've found these posts very interesting, as we need to check when our's was last blacked. We know that the anodes were replaced in 2006, so will probably get both jobs done this coming winter. It will be interesting to see how much the French boatyards charge! If anyone can recommend one on the Canal du Midi, we'd be very grateful.

Hi, we live in France and are just about to buy a 46ft narrowboat moored on the Canal du Midi in the South of France. My husband has experience of narrowboating in the UK, but the French waterways will be something different. Wish us luck with the purchase and we'll keep you all posted on our adventures!
