Hi does anyone know where I can get hold of a good SR2 engine that wont fill my engine bay with smoke our lose oil by the bucket load. Kind regards Mark

Hi I recently bought a engine of ebay and after paying for it to be put into my boat the engine failed on its return home to my mooring. I need to get a new SR2 engine does anybody know where I may get hold of a sound engine that doesnt smoke to the point that you cannot see into the engine room and also leaks buckets of oil at the same time. Hi all Ive just replaced my SR2 with a newer SL2 the enging runs well and seems to move my 35` boat along ok. When I bought it from the oat yard they had spray painted it with green paint all over the engine, even in the cooling fins. Since fitting and running there is clouds of smoke coming from the engine room and through the air vent could this just be the paint burning off. Kind regards Mark

Hi all My SR2 engine died and the only engine I was able to get at short notice was a SL2. Ive read on the forum that the SL2 is less in power then my last SR2 will it power a 35' boat. Also when the hydrolic gear box was fitted onto the engine it fitted but when you turned it over by hand it would not turn over. If you losened off the bolts that held the box in place a fraction it would turn. could the inside shaft be slightly longer than my old SR2 and therefore touching the gear housing inside the gear box
