Hi Alan, yes your right mate its an enclosed canal and i have since located a marina with a possible mooring to be had. I am also looking at a 24ft springer along with a few more. I feel this will be okay for me to get into things along the canal with something i can handle. Im sure that once i have found a boat i will be picking your brains for help on a regular basis sorry Thanks Alan Ian

Hi , my name is Ian Munro and i live in South Wales. ( 10 mins ) from Brecon canal. I am new to boating so much so that i haven't got a boat yet but i am looking. I am 36yr old and i am married to Jayne with a 15yr old girl Abigail. I have finally got 15k together after a long wait to get a boat so i realise its a minefield for me ahead. Hi everyone, My name is Ian Munro and i am new to this forum and indeed to boating. I am interested in buying a used narrowboat but realise that i need a mooring. I live 10 mins from Brecon & Monmouth canal and i was wondering if you could point me in the direction of how to get a mooring anywhere on the canal. I am sorry to be a bit green to this but its a hobby that i have wanted to get into for years and i finally have a few quid saved to hopefully do this. Any advice would be welcome. Best Regards Ian
