The item No. Is 320574990788 Comes with berth Please take a look and let your friends know. Even if the boat is to be stripped for these great engines. I have a Buy it now at £15000 of best offer. Cheers Steve
  2. A lister man told me he could get £2500 for them tomoro. However, What price do these boxes with the 2:1 reduction sell for. In Top Mecanicle condition? Also, am I right in thinking these are SR3 Listers?
  3. Helm could do with a fold out seat from side of hull. However when I went from Plymouth to Falmouth a plank of wood I had onboard was a great thing to have when put accross the cockpit
  4. Thanks Richard. And thanks for that clever Ebay direct link.

  6. cats protection would not let us have one. Even though they need to re-home hundreds of them.
  7. Hello all. I have a lister 3 cylinder diesel raw water cooled and was wandering what to put through to clean all the bits. I know you can buy the proper cleaner, but this costs loads of money and was hoping there would be an alternative (solution ) Hope you can help, Cheers Steveo.
  8. Go to Edens or jewsons and you can get good quality 18mm WBP for about £26, 9mm for about £18. Without voids in the middle when you cut through. Dont use over rated marine stockists. They get it from the same place as every one else.
  9. Hello Priston. I had sae 80/90 in there but am trying the 15/40 as suggested. This has not been in long, but has made an improvment. When I am just setting off I find it best to engage forward then go to neutral a couple times then im on me way. Also I think the pitch on my props may be a bit much. One engine is fine though. My friend has 2big garderners in his boat and they usethe same oil in the engine and hydraulic gearbox(Gardinia). This is why I had no worrys with what the engineer said. I feel better about the rivit thing. Does this mean that it will go on and not dammage anything else? Cheers.
  10. Hello. I would rip off all the old ply and upstands for hatches etc and plain/gring off all the old membrain/soft bits you find and allow to dry. Remove rubbing strates. For the ply I would use WBP, which use's the same glue as marine ply but WBP in not Lloyds approved. That will save you about 3/4 the price. Although, I would use 9mm ply as this would be strong in its own right with the aid of the camber. When deck is ready trim into coachroof etc and leave plenty of over hang so someone can pull down whilst you screw into beam shealf. To stick the ply down I would use Polyuraphain glue. The gold colour stuff that foams up. This will go into all the t&g and any other bits that have been ground out and is salt water proof, flexable and strong. When gone off trim up, put upstands back on and round over edges and put epoxy fillets on any joints then epoxy shieve onto coach roof (rebate could be added for this or prep and glass the lot) and 1" 0r so down hull. This is the fastest and easiest way of putting on a new deak that will last indefinatly if all deak fittings are bonded down correctly. Hope this helps, but rember if you ask 10 diffrent people, you get 10 diffrent answers.
  11. Hello mike, I'll gowith that. As long as I throttle up steady it seems ok and does not slip. I think i'll drain the oil and use a sligtly thinner hydraulic oil and see how it does. Cheers.
  12. Hello. I have a twin screw boat with two Lister 3 cylinder engines, the ones with the rounded rocker covers I dont know the No. would be gratfull if someone could let me know though. They have the Lister LH 150 hydraulic reversing gear boxes. One was slipping in forward but ok in reverse and neutral. I got a Lister man to lookat it and I think he said the clutch plate/ring was worn.Apparently two plates get pushed together by the hydraulic pressuer and the rough surfaces are not as rough as they should be, so thinner oil will move out of the friction area easier. It is apparently adjusted as much as it can be and he sugested using a thinner oil in it. He reconed the same as the engine has would help. I know a new plate/ring is the answer but it has helped to use thinner oil for now. Will this be ok? Hope someone can answer my question! Cheers Steveo
