  1. Can anyone help with this please. it has taken me forever to get the old silicone off the windows where the old owner made a right mess of em.. Also can you tell me when you put the sealer on the portholes does it goe on the outer rim and the inner or just the outer, and how do you connect it at the the end when you have cuaght up with where you started to put it on as it leaves a join. Will this be ok if i put it at the bottom or is there some other way to finish it off? thanks
  2. we have owned the boat just over two years now. and they never leaked before we had it out. but i am now thinking that maybe the sealant has flexed and that why they are leaking. theres only a couple of em so its not too bad.they are portholes so they dont have a drain at the bottom.. thanks
  3. It was pulled on trollie that submerged. it was when it was being trollied back into the water that we think the disturbance occured. its an all steel boat narrowboat. or do you think that the rain was that bad that it was bound to find a way in somewhere? i am thinking of taking the window frames out and resealing them to see if that makes any differnce. thanks for you reply..
  4. We had our boat out on the slipway a while a go, but when they were putting it back in the water My wife said that she heard it creak a lot. Well to cut a long story short, it rained about a week later very very hard we had a bit of a flood too on the marina. the boat started leaking under the gunwhales in a couple of places near to windows(portholes). on one it really poured in and it had buckled the wood on the bottom under there. I was wondring if that creaking my wife heard was th boat being disturbed. I have heard people say that the boat can twist. and if it does and has what can i do about it, if i complain i know for a fact they will throw me off. they are like that. i am told. so if anyone can answer these questions or give me any tips on how to solve this i would be very grateful. thanks
  5. It says that my post has been moved.. but where to I only asked a simple question. and nobody did any arguing over it.. So where has it moved to and why?? pleaase can anyone tell me
