Good Morning All!
Hmmm.. I have been phone around to see the availability of moorings in the Notts area (I know.. good luck!
Upon speaking the mooring office at one place, once I told him I was looking to purchase a 60x10 he . gasped..
"Oww your going to be very restricted with that", "Same stretch of River","Hardly any residential Moorings","Huge depreciation".. etc..
Hmm left me quite deflated. I was looking for a wide beam to live onboard, although according to this chap a Narrow boat is he way forward.
I really like the idea of having a little more space to live in, personally I like it but if its going to be such a problem Mooring it in Notts and not being able to go anywhere. Im not sure ts the right solution.
My question is, Is a 10ft beam really that bad on the Trent Canals?
Also is that the only place I can go.. I looked at a canal map and to my untrained eye it seemed that Birmingham\east canals and London\south would be the only areas inaccessable.
Please put me out of my mysery!
Thanks!
