  1. I burn seasoned logs in my stove and wondered if I need to sweep the chimney....if so, how often ? Kit required?
  2. Yep....have everything needed. Just waiting for a good day weather wise. ☺ Excellent news. 😊

  4. Hi. Vactan kept coming up so I bought some online....now need a dry, warm day. 😂 Am in Tewkesbury so might need to hang on in there !!! 😂😂😂
  5. Hi. Most of the connections were lose which isn't ideal and the settings were not configured to Lithium batteries. Loose Loose
  6. Thank you. Have had an engineer out at considerable cost but finger's crossed am sorted. 🤞
  7. Sounds good. Thank you. 😊
  8. As with most things in life.....☺
  9. Thank you. Will have a look to get tips. Can't afford to pay to get it done but more than happy to have a go myself. 🙂
  10. Hi. My boat is 5 years old and I negotiated a good price but am now broke with all the costs incurred. The scratched areas are down to bare metal and I want to protect the structure and also keep things looking in good repair. I'm pretty good at doing things myself and making a good job of things. Thanks for the prep advice. 🙂
  11. My widebeam has some scratches acquired when being transported. I have the correct paint to touch these areas up but would appreciate advice on the prep required and what primer to use. 🙂
  12. Victron has been looked at by a Marine Engineer and probably needs replacing....not good news when you are broke.
  13. Anyway, back to my electrical issues. 😆 All has been fine for the past week and then the same issue last night. Previously have tested 3 different shoreline cables and all are in good working order, no issues with bollard and nothing has tripped out. Need to be able to problem solve so have a Marine Engineer coming out to see what's going on and help me understand the system a little better. 😂
  14. Thanks to everyone for this......at least I now know where to start looking. 👀
  15. Yes I'm in a Marina with shoreline electricity. Have plenty of credit, tried 2 different cables, no appliances were on. What is confusing me is that all was fine when I left.....fiddled with the Victron charger/mains switch and eventually got power back. Second time (yesterday) switch flicking got mains light on, then bulk followed by absorption but then kept cutting out before getting to float. I have no idea what any of these terms mean but know I have mains electric when Float is lit. Persevered for an hour, lost the will to live, went out. Came back 6 hours later and all was fine !!! Really need to understand what the issue is and how to reduce likelihood of it happening again. 😟
