Will they have to go through a lock where you hope to see them? could you have a word with the lock keeper to let them go in the lock and as long as they are "down" the lock keeper could then padlock the paddles till youve phoned 999 and the police arive- as long as the people who say they will meet you keep out of sight for a while so those on the boat dont suspect anything straight away?

Will the police be meeting you there cragdale? for your safety.. if it was me i would sort of "insist" they be there

Talking about throwing a "deafie" we saw you on the bridgewater charles and i shouted " hiya charles" twice ! selective hearing ? - or did you think you were being told to "slow down" and didnt look at who was calling your name ? and no you werent going tooooo fast when we saw you....

Thanks both for replies we will have to give it a good looking at to see if it has a thermostatic mixer and go from there, i do agree with your wife about the temp though keeping up

Weve got a twin coil calorifier that is making the water much to hot ! there is a red cap on the top of the calorifier and when we unscrewed it slightly it made a hissing noise as though air was escaping, does anyone know how we can turn the temp down ? thanks , trish

Engine is in its own room... only hatch weve got is the weedhatch our old boat had a lister, this one is a perkins D3 -

Whats the best product i can use to "black" the solid fuel fire on the boat? last boat we had i used something( ive forgot the name of) and when the fire was lit we had a boat full of choking smoke! had to scrub the fire to get rid of whatever id put on, took ages to get most of it off...

Ive used these on the bedroom door and wardrobes on the boat and they look really nice simple and easy to put on too

Went to get one yesterday when the offer started.. got there at around 9-30 am- SOLD OUT, grr i asked the assistant where they were in the shop and he said "all gone sorry" we had people here waiting for us to open ... i was not amused, bet they only had a couple to bl**dy sell! rant over ....
