  1. thanks for the replies, after watching the video Mike Tee recommended, I doubled checked everything and lit the stove and still had the very small flame. I then started to adjust the low fire until the flame started to fill the bottom of the burner pot and noticed that with the increase in fuel the flame also had some blue to it. The flame seems to be burning the best it ever has.
  2. thank you very much Mike, that is very helpful
  3. Old style toby valve on my refleks stove, I can`t seem to get hardly and diesel to flow out of the toby valve and when I did the flame was so small and about as much heat as a birthday candle. The filter is all clean and the inside of regulator. The metering stem was all clear. Is it possible to put the metering stem in wrong? like the position of top or the spring to go on wrong. I remember years ago when I had one apart the metering stem stayed pushed down but this time I had to keep it pushed down with my fingers to get the float assembly in place?
  4. I am missing the cast iron two piece top burner ring, It was like that 5 years ago when I purchased and never new otherwise. Is the burner ring for 61 ms same as 60m ? they look the same?
  5. I have been trying to join that facebook for for weeks now?
  6. Toby valve totally cleaned, fuel inlet and cleaning pin all clear. I would say large flame just below coil.
  7. Hell all, My Refleks diesel stove, I believe is 61 MS. It has the heating coil for rads. The stove has been trouble free for years and recently has been giving problems. I have cleaned the toby valve, old style and it has new fuel filter from my tank and clean diesel. My flame is yellow with hardly any blue. I kinda recall looking down the peep hole and it having some blue. I adjusted the high fire today, 1.5 turns in clockwise and the flame never really changed and not blue. What am I doing wrong and why dont I have a blue flame?
  8. the fuel was still coming out and the flame never went out however now that I think more about it, the flame was yellow when looking down the peep hole on the lid. It didn`t have the slight blue flame. Would that be a fuel or air issue. Here is the pic of the exhaust the day of. I have never seen any type of smoke in all my years. The fuel is clean.
  9. Yeah, all was fine until the boat had a list to port, same side the stove is on. Would a list and trim affect the burn?
  10. Hello everyone, I have a Refleks stove for the last 5 years. It is the 61ms with the heating coil and have radiators. The stove hasn`t been going for 6 months so I recently did my cleaning of the stove and also the regulator. I noticed the next day that there was like a white smoke coming out of my stove pipe and thought this was strange as I never seen anything other than heat vapor. I continued to run the stove to see if it would clear itself however after many hours I shut it down and looked inside and was shocked. What would cause it to burn so bad that it would soot up like this. All replies would be greatly appreciated.
