  1. Thanks Tracy will order that now
  2. Had a look on their website and others, no one seems to have a sensor to fit
  3. I would but don't have a car, as livaboard boater and stuck on river Thames at Oxford just had a look on Web and seems plenty of choice for bushes so will buy a selection and find one that fits
  4. I'm not disputing Tracy's answer Tony, the hole in the block has an 1/2" thread, and the thread that connects from the pipe to the gauge is 1/8", as stated in last post I'm not mechanically minded Ok thanks will try finding one of those bushes
  5. The new sensor I bought is 1/8" The part removed from the engine has as near as I can measure without vernier is 1/2"
  6. Hi guys, I have been reading a thread from 2018 regarding oil pressure sensor/sender, I have a mechanical sender for my oil pressure and trying to find the correct fitment to replace it with a digital sensor and gauge. After buying a 1/8 npt (think that's right) In the picture attached the new sensor is on the left the part on the right is what I have taken from my engine. Any ideas of the sensor I would need to replace this. The part has no markings or serial numbers Any help appreciated
  7. Will do, I'm still in process with a lot of the other wiring but will check all every step that I take. Once again thank you so much🙂
  8. It worked I removed the earth from where it was on engine and placed it onto starter motor bolt turning over great now thank you so much for all your help with this 😀 Yes the bolt holding the starter on to engine not o e at back of starter
  9. I suddenly realised after I posted that last comment
  10. I tested the pos cable to battery earth sparks fly, tested on 3 different parts of the engine and nothing, seems engine is not being earthed, as its grp cruiser how does the engine get grounded
  11. Okay will try what you have stated but not being mechanically minded, may take me a while to figure all this out, thanks Tony
  12. Having now tried a test cable direct from the battery to the solenoid there is still nothing, no clicks, no signs of life. I suppose next step is to buy a new starter motor
  13. Have already tried that, and that was a no go, I am wondering if moisture might have got into the solenoid as a few days ago the engine bilge had water up to the sump after 2 days of solid rain and forgot to check all cockpit covers were done up tightly, however it did start after that then just died
  14. Also cable from battery to master switch then to starter motor I will try that tomorrow, and post the outcome. Thanks for your replies guys.
  15. Ol thanks for info on earthing. I have a cable going from battery to a fuse box, then from fuse box to one side of switch and from switch to thin solenoid terminal
