That makes sense, the oil level was over the top mark on the dip stick, I thought it was odd and very thin, so how can diesel be getting into the oil.

My lovely 1972 two pot, starts ok and runs fine, it's a bit tappity tho ? it's now started pumping out (white smoke) a lot more than it always has or should be. I've fitted new injecters and fuel filters, checked the fuel and lines.
