  1. retro fit Allan, a replacement for the Morco D61b so open flue already
  2. Hi there, Does anyone have experience with Ferroli water heaters? Are they reliable? I am looking at buying the Ferroli Pegaso Eco 11 LPG Gas Water Heater.
  3. Thanks so much for getting back to me. Generally i research what the issues are and get my LPG plumber to do the work, I think the pilot light burner is the obvious place to start now you mention it and i did see some cobwebs when i took off the cover. If it is indeed this (and i fix it) I will add it to the thread in case anyone else has the issue. Thanks again.
  4. Please see a picture of the small pilot light attached. Any ideas much appreciated
  5. yep which is why i bought a reconditioned one from Bob. The D61b was replaced by the Italian made-just with a Morco sticker on it-EUP6 which has actually been very good but this to is discontinued. Not much on the market for Battery or Piezo ignition water heaters now.
  6. The issue I have been having with the Rinnai isn't on a boat no its on a off grid cabin
  7. Sorry gents the full name is the Rinnai REU 58E, sorry if there is any confusion. I bought a reconditioned one off Paloma Bob around 3 years back and have 8 alltogether.
  8. Hi Tony, I will send a picture later today of the pilot light. Please see the pic of the stainless steel pigtails i was talking about. Hmm not sure what you mean, yes the Rinnai is fixed but the pigtails supply the gas from the LPG gas bottles via the governor. When i say the Rinnai is a good bit of kit i say that compared to the Morco d61b which has caused us nothing but issues. The burners get blocked up all the time with insects, the diaphragms fail, thermocouples blow all the time.
  9. Hi Gents, I have gleamed bit of info over the years so happy to share some troubleshooting tips for the Rinnai 58 E- which is in my opinion a great water heater. The only issue i have found is if you use cheap rubber pigtails they degrade in the UV / salt air we have here and they cause a block to the pilot injector, you can fix this by blowing out the pilot injector with a airgun and swapping the pig tails for the heavy duty stainless steel / plastic coated ones. Also a lack of water to the unit will cause the main burners not to ignite, i found this with a kinked shower hose as well. I have an issue with one of the pilot lights in that its very small despite blowing it out. Any ideas as to how i can improve the size of the flame would be much appreciated. Could be one for the man, the myth the legend-Paloma Bob. Best wishes, Alex
