Hi, a very newbie question When getting Diesel from a Marina is it a case of rocking up, filling up and be on your way (after paying obviously). We were at Shardlow for a short while and they had a policy of only allowing you to fill jerry cans. Is this the case at all Marinas? We are heading from Sawley to Uxbridge over the next few weeks so just want to be as informed as possible. Thanks in advance

Thank you everyone for all the support, advice and help. The boat started fine this morning and happily got me to the boat yard no problems. a new alternator will be fitted when I pick it up. thanks again, I’ve learnt a lot these last few days. Ben

Great thanks! It’s got a brand new fully charged starter battery. So fingers crossed. will try that place in burton.

Looks like most places near here don’t have any stock. Earliest is Tuesday I have to travel from Shardlow marina to Paul Barbers boat yard on Monday, so about 2hrs. with a fully charged battery will I make it if I can’t find a replacement?

Still no charge when I tried that. appreciate all the help people. Will head to euro car parts tomorrow. Take the old one with me and see if that one I put above matches.

That would be great but there website says they are closed tomorrow. Warning lamp comes on and stays on.
