  1. I may be wrong, but no body has mentioned the landlord's gas certificate required if you have LPG gas on the boat. Mark M.
  2. Hi I'm trying to get to the bottom of water hammer and splash on my cold water taps and shower. Strangely, when my hot water is hot, I do not get hammer or splash from the hot tap. (the boat is 45 feet long) I have a 3 year old 12 volt Johnson Aquajet pump WPS 3.4 with a cut in pressure of 25 psi and a cut out pressure of 41 psi and a 1 litre surflow accumulator, which I have pressured to 25psi. I can increase the pressure on my accumulator, but this does not alter the hammer / splash. If I entirely de pressure it, the hammer / splash improves, but is still there. Someone suggested that it could be a problem with the pump diaphram. So I took the pump to pieces and all seems well. (apart from the fact that I cannot get a servicing kit for my pump, as Johnson do not seem to do them anymore). Any advise would be gratefully received Thanks Mark M.
  3. It does look as though a flex wall is the favourite, I have some samples coming of plastic sheet tiles. Thank you all for your help
  4. Thanks Justin I'll give it a try then. Mark M.
  5. I have been thinking over night, has anyone used Aqua board?
  6. Our problem is the bathroom is small (and so is the boat at 45 foot), and there is no room to expand. I wish that we had a standard one too. In out last boat we had a sit bath and over shower, which again we do not have enough room for that in this one.
  7. I have just had to take my shower tray, glass screen and a section of rotten bulkhead out. The orginal fitout was done where tiles on top of MDF came down into the inside lip of the tray and the MDF swelled, cracked tiles, etc. Has anyone got any specific tray and glass pivot door they have used on a narrow boat, that works well? The tray seems to be one of those flimsy plactic ones available in most chandlers and the shower bifold door and frame from Ram Bathrooms. Any help would be appreciated, I am really stuck with this one. Mark M.
  8. Just bought three iron weights near Frome in Somerset. 56lb @ £5 each. £12lb at @£10. They were cheaper because they were odd ones. He had a whole stack of matching which I imagine were more expensive. Mark M.
  9. Thanks That about adds up. Once or twice the last owner used to let the tank fill to over flow and there may be something blocking the vent. Do you use blue of any kind?
  10. As a new person to this forum forgive me for asking a question which has probably been asked many times before. But, what is the best way of keeping the cabbage smell from a pumpout at bay. We have a stainless steel tank about 2 years old and a saniflow automatic toilet ? Mark M.
