  2. Hi everybody, I wonder if anyone can help. I was looking for a phone number for Maurice Hirst boat builders, I found a number on the net 01977 670834 but all I keep getting is a spare line. I would be very grateful if anyone could help. Thanks a lot, Kriss x x x
  3. Yeah thats just the thing we had in mind. We were also looking at the wet type that makes like a brick, but we understsand they take forever to dry. So we thought the "Log maker" sounded like it would be just as good, but easier. Thanks, Kriss x x x
  4. Hi everybody, we are going to buy one of these "log makers." Not the brick type, the one you use dry. However it says you're not to use glossy paper in them. Maybe I'm daft but can anyone tell me if that means things like TV mags, junk mail etc. Or does it mean the really GLOSSY stuff that you see about? Oh! and can anyone tell me why please? Thanks very much, Kriss x x x
  5. Hi Gary, Thanks very much for all your help and the links you kindly put on your site. I had a read of the booklet and went on to the site of the RBOA which we have decided to join. We will be watching with great interest what happens with your widebeam, as that is what we need. Lots of love, Kriss x x x P.S. Changing the subject, we are going to buy one of these "log makers." 6. Hi there, We are new to this forum and as we intend to become liveaboards as soon as possible, we thought we would join and say hello! I don't know if anyone can help us, but there are several things we need to sort out. Such as, if you are lucky enough to get a place in a Marina does life go on pretty much the same as now (In respect of Banks, Cards, Doctors etc.) and if you live in a permanent mooring and can't use that as your address, does anyone know if it is legal to use a parent's address for instance, or do they have to tell fibbies on the "Electoral Register" However more than that, my husband has a "Motability Car" and we were wondering if anyone out there had one too. If so have they been allowed to keep it in the Marina or mooring? or does "Motability" think it is somewhere else such as they have moved house, or do they give their parents or friends as a C/O address. Thanks very much' Lots of love, Kriss x x x
