  1. Thanks for our replies guys You guessed it - I'm in a very similar situation - the only security I'll have is the boat, though I'll have more deposit than I'll be borrowing. I'm living on boats as I couldn't even dream of affording a bricks and mortar (and as time goes on, have less inclination that way anyway!) Ill try RoyScotLarch and see what they offer - thanks again for taking the timeto reply ps. Any other suggestions? Do Haven Knox Johnson do anything?
  2. I've stumbled across your forum, and was hoping you might be able to help me I was lucky enough to be able to purchase my first boat outright, but am now looking to upgrade from narrowboat to widebeam, so will need to borrow. I will have a decent deposit to put down once the narrowboat's sold (shouldn't be a problem - someone's interested and ready with cash). I've been googling a bit, and have discovered that both RBS and Barclays do marine mortgages from 8.2% interest, but am having trouble finding any other providers. I was wondering if you guys might be able to suggest anyone else? I'd obviously like to shop around a bit to see who'll offer the best rates. Also, any feedback on people's experiences with particular lenders would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, and all the best
