Hi everyone, I am completely new to the canal boating world. I have been in the UK for nearly 3 years and have always wanted to go on a canal holiday. My parents are coming over at the end of September and I know my dad would love to go on a cruise also. So my parents and fiancee are jumping aboard a boat, unfortunately though we will only have 3 days. I would really love to be able to show them a few nice villages, have a few locks to navigate and generally just see the beautiful English countryside. As I have never been on a narrow boat I don't really know where to start. I live about 1hr north of london so somewhere in this area would be good. Can anyone give some recommendations? The grand union? the ouse? cams? They all sound good, is there a must see, maybe somewhere a little off the tourist trail so to speak. Thanks, Mick
