  1. Thanks for advice all. Just moored up on Castleford cut and it's spot on. I'm single handing so got a bit nervous about winding but everything's so massive here, it'll be fine🤣 Will check out the weir before I leave in the morning, Jim. Good luck getting the survey done!
  2. Hi all. I'm on the Calder and Hebble Navigation by Wakefield, and heading towards Leeds. I need to moor up for the night near Castleford but before it turns off to the Aire and Calder. Canalplan ac calls Methley Bridge Boatyard an excellent mooring spot but I'm not sure if it's only private moorings or for boatyard customers only. Does any one here know? It's my first time on the Caler and Hebble and I'm single handing this part of the journey so am afraid of getting stuck without somewhere to tie up for the night. Am meeting a friend who's arriving by public transport so needs to be close to a station. Any advice welcome. Thanks!
  3. Thanks everyone. Sounds like the jet or valve. I've been away at work for few days but will attempt to dismantle this week. Starting with trying to get the damaged screw out without damaging the thread in the hob...
  4. I have a Voyager 4500 Marine Gas Cooker, which was on the boat when I bought it several months ago. Suddenly the larger hob burner has stopped working properly, only producing a tiny flame and not staying on. This happened from one day to the next and was similar to when I've run out of gas, but I haven't. Everything else is running fine. It's clean, and none of the holes are blocked, it's not damp, I haven't spilled anything on it. The flame is blue, not yellow so I don't think it's a leak. There's no smell of gas. It's been like this for a couple of weeks now. I haven't been able to take off the ring as the screw is worn, so the previous owner has obviously had a problem with it at some point. It'd been working fine for me until now, though I've always had to keep the knob for this ring pushed in for a several seconds or it goes out again. I have unbolted the whole stove top and everything seems to be connected as far as I could tell. Does anyone know what could be the cause? And what I could do? Are there replacement gas rings for these? Thanks
