  1. 🤣That’s where our mooring is and one of said wide beams is occupied by my father. We know know most quite well already, in fact I’l be drinking with them tomorrow night 😄 On a serious note I don’t want to put anybody out.
  2. I phoned about 2 months ago and I’m 90% sure the lady said £420, which I would be happy with if I’m honest.
  3. I quoted 28T to Nationwide I think but they said it would be nowhere near, more like 22-24 in our state of fit out, which is more or less fully fitted - kitchen and lounge.
  4. Off top of my head think Newark is £420 , yes I have considered someone else, fortunately my father and his wife are quite experienced but he’s just had major surgery so he’s out of commission for a while. Selfish I thought
  5. Yeah I’m confident they can do it, a hell of a lot cheaper too I’m just not as confident with tidal Trent on her maiden voyage lol.
  6. Boat is in Liverpool, what is AWA ? can’t seem to find any info on them. We’ve got Newark in mind as a last resort but don’t really fancy the Trent this Time of year and could use the time better fitting the kitchen.
  7. Yes tried them, but apparently they are limited to 20t at the moment for some reason.
  8. Sorry , yeah I know where I,m going, we have a mooring at Tinsley.
  9. Hi all thanks for the reply’s , I had a run down to Finesse this morning , they have a crane in on the 10th of Nov for multiple lifts but unfortunately we are going to miss this date and we therefore would have to get a crane just for mine at a cost of 2.5k min . It’s looking like it will be Stanilands so we provisionally booked but I have yet to be advised of an exact cost,
  10. Hi looking for some help from some of you kind souls if you could. Our 60 x 11 wide beam is nearing completion and we are looking for a place to have her delivered to and craned in. We are going to be moored in Sheffield so where would be the best place to have her put into water? , as close to Sheffield as possible. Thanks in advance Neal
  11. Hi buddy Thanks for the reply Boat builder has been fine tbh, not really tried to sway me in any way ,it’s just the way Canaline name/market their engines… Canaline 52 = 52hp Canaline 60 = 57hp Canaline 70t = 65hp
  12. Hi all So we’re having a 59’ x 11’ widebeam built and as standard it comes with a Canaline 52 hp engine, I am being advised that I should upgrade to the 60 engine at a cost of £2.5k (Not by the builder) for £3k I could get the Canaline 70hp. My issue is on doing some research it turns out the 60 is only 5hp more than the 52 (57hp) so my questions are.. Would 5hp really make that much difference (Occasionally going on tidal Trent) ? If more hip is needed would it be worth going the 70 route (Which is actually 65hp) ? Should I just save my 2.5-3k ? I would very much appreciate your input Thanks in advance
  13. Anyone got any suggestions of good boat builders to try in north of England ?
  14. Are Viking boats any good ? p.s Don’t mean those with stripey sails and horny sailors ?
  15. Should’ve said , I am looking at getting it minus a kitchen or lounge and fitting those myself if new.
