So a water sensor that could automatically shut off the water supply wouldn't be particularly useful?

Does anyone have problems with water supply, leaks or flooding when connected to a shore-based supply?

The designer I'm doing this research for is particularly interetsed in comments about water supply. Is this ever an issue for those particular taking in a shore-based water supply?

I have been saked to undertake some research on behalf of a local designer who is involved in a range of products realting to gas, water and electrical safety. We are interested in any suggestions for appliances or identification of needs relating to these areas from people invloved with houseboats or boats which are used for accommodation. For example, we have been asked by a couple of boat owners about a CO monitor designed for use specifically on board as apparently atmospheric conditions hinder the function of normal monitors. He is interested in getting feedback from houseboat owners who are connected to main utilities as to issues they may like addressed.
