  3. I want a Telescopic pole for my digital ariel . but i cat fid one that wil suport the weight of the arile whilst fixed on. can any tell me where i can get one. also i need to fix it ti a lip on the front of my boat . but i dont know how to dot his either. the lip sticks out as the front doors are set back a bit. if that makes sense. i would have to drill two holes to fix something through them but then i need a fitting that will allow me to fix the pole to the front of the boat that uses these two holes for the fitting. but i can find a fitting that will do it can anyone help me,,, Acorn

  10. i need a sofa bed for my newly aqquired narrowboat. apart for Elite furnishings where else can i get one that will fit once opened up to sleep on Acorn
  11. i have just put a deposit on a narrowboat yesterday. its 55ft . i am soo scared. i better book a helmsman course. .. although i have had a cruiser for a year but this is way bigger. i am excited as well as i cant wait to get going with this. we will only be doing the middle levels to begin with so its not as scary as it seems i guess. how much is a 55ft narrowboat worth does anyone think. it wasnt launched till 1996. and its in really good nick too inside and out .. .. will be back asking loads of questions now.. 12. Thanks Steve i am trying to be patient my wife has more patients than me though . so thank god she has hold of the money il let you all know when i find a boat as i will be asking more qeustions as i dont know what a good boat is ad a bad boat. saying that i found a boat that looks ok but its 16 years old and i am told that in 4 years time i will have to have it out of the water to be abale to insure it. so it makes me wonder why all the boats that are for sale are over 15 years old. if you put it that way it sounds like they dont want to find them selves in a predicament that they have to get work done to get insured. 13. well i wont be going down that road. i wil def be getting any boat i buy surveyd Acorn
  14. Thanks for that info on the hull thickness. will remember that there doesnt seem to be many 45ftooters around that are decent enough for the money that we want to spend. we dont want to go over budget as we might need to upgrade some day and that needs extra money too . i have sen some rubbish boats for the price i am willing to pay though and thats just loking at the pics of them. i wouldnt like to get all the way to see them and they look even worse. ah well back to the drawing board and keep hunting we will not in a great hurry. thanks chaps Acorn
  15. you lot really cheered me up. i did miss oe boat coz of dithering so that has gone now. but the other one i mised coz it has an offer on it no deposit taken yet they are waiting for a survey . anyhow all the boats i have seen are either 50 or 60 or inbetween . thinking of asking for a price of a sailaway with added extras so there isnt a lot of work to get done. do builders do budget builds/fitouts. perhaps i coudl settle for a slightly smaller boat if it comes with in my budget. keep your eyes peeled for us chaps wont you.. thanks Acorn
