  8. I got a warning for the use of "idiot". Yet someone calls me a piss taker and nothing.... Even a bit of casual racism thrown in earlier but it looks like that's o.k to...
  9. It really is. And the surrounding countryside is beautiful.
  10. Looks as though you have some insider information as to how quickly boats should be travelling around the system. Care to share? Also, it's not a race. Perhaps if you slowed down a little and took some time to appreciate the scenery you might get more out of your time on the cut? The slow pace of life is what attracts me to boating and there is no way I'm going to let a few grumps on here put me off. I can't wait till my slow paced life as a genuine CCer
  11. There is nothing to say you can't take your time and soak in the scenery and local attractions. I'm not sure using the term gypsy in a derogatory way is acceptable. True colours and all that.
  12. I'll concede my original post could have been interpreted that way but I have cleared that up a number of times. My frustration is that having done so some are still suggesting that I'm a piss taker and trying to game the system. Something I have no intention of doing. Thanks for the really useful info in your last two posts.
  13. I had a couple of lessons from an indian friend and the mist important tip was browning the onions well before adding the next ingredients. And I mean really well. Without that you'll never get the depth of flavour. That and bin the veg oil for ghee. So unhealthy but soooooo good ?
  14. That's the crux of it and no (imho obviously ?)
  15. It would not be 3 months of non compliance.
  16. I think it's really quite laughable to be honest. It's incredibly easy to plot a journey down the G&S and back stopping at 6 places for no more than 14 nights.
  17. There is no need for mitigating circumstances and I would not be failing to comply for 3 months.
  18. I'm not looking for an argument. I was explaining my plans and how the meet the CC guidelines and providing clarity on that point as it appeared the thread turned in to a debate about what I do during term times for the children I don't have. (Edit) and the barking mad bit was not aimed at you.
  19. Just to be clear. If I spend no more than 2 weeks in any "place" and visit 6 or more "places" then I can spend 3 months on the G&S, no problem at all. And if I then spent the rest of the year navigating hundreds of miles on the rest of the network I would easily satisfy the CC regs. And that's my intention. If any of you think that goes against the CC regs then you're barking mad.
  20. I'm not publishing personal correspondence not least because it has nothing to do with the thread.
  21. It would appear that new members get warned for calling someone an "idiot" but it's ok for long standing members to call someone a "pisstaker"? And let's not make this really embarrassing and make it about semantics
  22. When did I say that I intended to meet the CC regs by staying on a 16 mile stretch? You literally make stuff up and you go along.
  23. That's simply nunya A few grumps got totally the wrong idea, assuming they know everything. And it turns our they are completely unable to admit when they are wrong.
  24. So I didn't say " Just for further clarity (not that I feel I should have to). I have exchanged emails with CRT and they are more than happy with my plans" As for publishing my "evidence". That has nothing whatsoever to do with you.
