Another approach is to download photos from your phone to another device (eg a PC or laptop) every so often. My experience with IT goes back far enough to the times when we had to remember to do such things as a matter of course.
That was especially true when using a DSLR camera .. which, of course, had its storage on a flashcard anyway.

Stupid question - have you had the phone apart to make sure the battery is sitting comfortably? I work on the principle that first you look for simple things you can fix yourself, no matter how unlikely. I realise that an unfixable breakage is far more likely!

It's on now. I don't remember the incidental music being quite so intrusive, and it's surprising how dated it seems.

From working Offshore I would suggest that an integral tank epoxied from new shouldn't need any more treatment for 10 years
And after ten years ... ? Think about the typical service life of a narrowboat.

Beat me to it, Jen.
We were told on North Sea installations where sour gas was present to be especially aware of this.
H2S kills - and it starts by killing your sense of smell.

I'm glad you recognise the sacrifices I make
Most trees have what is called a mast year, in effect a cycle of heavy fruiting followed by a more fallow couple of years
Our raspberry canes did that - last year. This year -- niente.
The grape vine (singular) did well though.

Whether that's true is a matter for the courts, I suspect.
There's only one winner there .. m'learned friends (well, two winners actually, one on each side).

Thank you for taking the trouble to come back and tell the forum. You'd be amazed how many CBA.

Beat me to it. Ecoleaf.
I don't like shower gel -- I use plain soap.
Ecoleaf do hand soap but I can't vouch for it.

Patience, it's a long term proposal with no timescales 😘
If there are no timescales there is no meaningful promise. Hot air, nothing more, as I suggested.
And my name isn't Patience.

I have some shocking news for you. They're not even doing it in Yorkshire.

Boddingtons USED to be a good pint (when they previously did Bodkans, however, a buy out and brewery closed put paid to that.
If you liked Boddies, you'd probably like Marble's Manchester Bitter. It's pretty close, but even better, as is Pint.

The last thing you want a back boiler to do is ... boil.

Which one is the thermostat?

My approach for the last 14 years has been to use a big wrench to tighten the cap. It's then impossible to get off without a similar tool.

2 litre plastic jug. Empty into old oil (plastic) can. Repeat as necessary.

Isn't Mastercard what used to be Unreasonable Access, decades ago?
It spoiled quite a good joke when the name changed.

Despite what it says on the pdf, it's not just aimed at the hard of hearing or those who have difficulty with speech. It also will work when the mobile signal is so poor as to be practically non existent.
BUMP!
Well done Iain, excellent post.

You've never come across a female welder, obviously.

Dismissing the notion that different groups of people exhibit different tendencies of behaviour is dismissing the very notion of culture.
So, do you accept that culture exists (beyond buildings, dress, arts and food) or not?
I did not dismiss that notion, I rejected your over-generalised use of the term. You were not talking about cultures, you were talking about lazy stereotypes.
So, again, where did I say culture "doesn't exist"?

That's OK, you're free to believe that culture doesn't exist.
Where did I ever say culture doesn't exist?
Don't bother looking, I didn't, so why make this comment?
You really should brush up on your "fallacious argument" techniques. You have used most of them several times.

If a position is presented factually, rationally and logically it's easy for it to be persuasive. If it isn't presented in that way, why should anyone bother to consider it seriously?

Not the way I read it. "Conserve" can also be construed as "Cause to be conserved".

Chuck the Jamesons in the porta-potty too, and get some decent whisky [sic] preferably from Islay.
