  2. Hi all not used to this different layout of this site it's been years since I've visited so I'm hoping I'm in the right place to post this. I'm wanting to refurb my Isuzu control panel all of my coloured lenses etc are missin now so am after some more but can't find a supplier can anyone advise many thanks

Hi all if I owned a piece of land with canal frontage and I moored my boat at it, would CRT be able too charge me for the privelage and if so how would it be measured ie is there a fixed rate ,similar too others in same locality or not at all. It would be not on towpath side Your thoughts ,comments or similar experiences please

  8. Hi all Have seen a sterling in force four chandlery catalogue and have thought about buying one before but don't know if they're any good and don't know anyone that used one. I had a look on eBay at a similar item and the description sounded all singing n dancin about it's abilities but is it or are they pants. Vince
  9. hi all over the easter break i shall be travelling down the thames from oxford too end up in aylesbury eventually ,i got the relevant nicholsens guide coming in the post but i have heard about a vhf radio needed for part of the thames ?is this right ?.. also anyone needing any batteries i can load up n drop em off on the way (check other thread in for sale section). oh yeah never been on a river before any advice or tips greatly recieved vince

  15. hi all im after a timer for my webasto water heater ,its not as easy as buying a webasto item and plugging it into unit ,firstly there is no where to plug it in or do they have to be connected into wiring( not to sure ).secondly they can be silly money. i have been told danfoss have a programmable timer that is battery powered ,is there other units any of you guys can reccomend ,all i want is it to be able switch on in the mornin for when other half gets up for work not to be too complicated and be powered by battery or 12v,and to be able turn on and off when needed . many thanks

  18. hi all am heading up to the llangollen next monday from oxford which is best route to take is it through brum then wolverhampton onto the shroppie there or is there another route which is similar (longer but less locks) idid have a map of the waterways but put it on the roof and took my eyes off it for a second and it took off and plotted up in a tree thanks vince
  19. not been on for awhile but as an answer to where i got mine from i paid 80 quid cash tfor mine from heyford narrowboats 01869 340348 he just had a delivery of them at the time ,8x4 18mm,thats the cheapest i found it for at the time
  20. feeds are still in same position so definately not that, the problem is the bar gonna go bend a freinds ear in a plumbers mercgants n get to the bottom of it im thinkin it must be serviceable to some degree
  21. ive tiled behind mine using floor tiles from b nq using flexible tile adhesive for wood flooring well pleased with result plastered a good amount on with a piece of ply with some v s cut into it put a blob on each corner and a blob in the middle for luck on back of tile applied with a firm pressure and some sideways twisting ,i noticed a chip on one of the tiles id just put on and had a hell of a job getting it back off so i know they stuck well,and ive just travelled up from oxford up to the ashby up to easter and clouted some locks and banks thanks t the strong winds and they still look fine
  22. hot water from the calorifier.there definately no probs with hot supply to it as it tees off from hot supply to kitchen tap that works fine and bathroom sink before it is fine also
  23. i have a thermostatic mixer bar type shower thingy which worked very well when i first fitted it as i had more work in bathroom to complete it hasnt been used for awhile (not a minger but fortunatly live near boat)ive just been on first cruise with everything very near to being finished girlfreind went to use shower no bl##dy hot water from it.hot water in pipe to it so that not the problem only got back today so havent been to out to seek advice yet ,does anyone no anything about these ive had the thing apart and cant see anything obvious ,bearing in mind it was about eight oclock in the morning i had to be seen like i was doing something about it thanks
