We made the mistake of getting cheap ones.

We have a bit of an issue with stuff stored under beds getting a bit damp. We do not have radiators and our sole source of heat is the wood burner. Any good prevention ideas??

At the moment we have 3 leisure batteries hooked up. The boat came with 2 spare batteries. Would it be beneficial to get them hooked up as well?

How much undercoat/ paint would I roughly need for a 59x13 steel widebeam. Not going for perfection but a nice finish. The roof will be being done.

We are on the Ouse.

Glad to say that yesterday we finally moved on board Dark Rosaleen. Today the back breaking job of moving all our gear on board has been completed. Had a 2 hour cruise and all is brilliant.

Looking at £1500 hopefully. Normally hooked up but we will be cruising.

We have a hook up for power as we have a permanent mooring. We have 4 batteries but we will be having solar panels fitted.

Probably looking at a diesel system with no more than 3 radiators. We will be keeping the burner. The water is heated through an immersion.

Our widebeam only has a wood/coal burner at the moment. Thinking of having central heating installed. Any suggestions on good reliable systems and also cost.

I shall be doing Helmsmans course so hopefully all will be good. We really want to ebjoy a chilled out existence so learning all we can before we start cruising.

We will have a permanent mooring whilst we explore the local area. After a year or so we will be moving on into continuos cruising.

No intentions on going anywhere to small. There are enough wide waterways to explore.
