give yourself a pat on the back as you’ve made a lot of people happy on this forum as they are only happy when they have something to moan about ?

My AGMs are charged at 14.8v. That’s what my victron solar controller was set to by Kevin at onboard energy when he fitted the system. It also states 14.8v on a sticker on the batteries which are 125ah of which I have four.
edited to reflect Tony’s comment below.

The amount of cars and people out today Christmas shopping given that we are still in ‘full lockdown’ till Wednesday, I don’t think a few boats moving around the canal system is going to draw much attention (providing there’s not more the 6 on the boat) and it is only guidance after all.

It all depends on the strength of signal IMO. I just use my phone as a hotspot and tether to it. I watch Netflix Amazon prime etc. I do have unlimited everything on my contract. A dongle or router is only as good as the signal.

My 2 life jackets arrived safely today ?

Well they won’t be able to use the stop gate at Shebdon bridge 44 as the balance beam has virtually rotted off so I imagine the rest of it is pretty useless as well.

Moor up in one of the pounds at Wolverhampton, sooner or later somebody will drain the pound and then you can just walk round the boat with a roller, voila.
-
I would also suggest that you get comfortable in how to use them ie. read the instructions or watch some videos on you tube. The last thing you need in a stressful situation (real fire) is to go into panic mode and not have any idea how to operate an extinguisher or fire blanket properly. I speak from 30 years of experience as a (now retired?) firefighter.

I'm not entirely sure how valid the 15% reduction actually is when compared to other companies etc.
Example: Oboard Energy charge £1,001.70 for a Victron 100Ah Lithium battery, or £851.46 with the Johno discount, whereas Alpha Batteries charge a normal rate of £849.99 for the same battery incl delivery (BAT512110705).
I'm sure they'll be a great company to deal with but I'm just saying that the 15% Johno discount may not be all it seems.
I agree, but the op asked for recommendations for solar panel fitting which I gave. I didn’t have to mention the johno discount but I thought he might like to save a few quid.
Kev at onboard energy is a nice bloke and he did a very good job of fitting mine. With a five year no quibble warranty on fitting and hardware. -
Kevin at onboard energy springwood haven marina mention ‘journey with Johno for a 15% discount.

How do you know the pump that takes water out isn’t working if the pump bringing water in doesn’t work? Is there any water in the tank?

I beg to differ: 2cvs and Dyanes etc are very simple, just not like any old British cars. For example all you need to adjust the ride height of a 2cv etc is an 8mm spanner and a ruler
Or 4 very large adults ?

Is that the bridge by Wedges?
We went through there on Tuesday and graunched over something in the water.
There was a CaRT pusher tug tied up on the Lapworth side, the misters were having their lunch at Wedges. They must have felt it too.
It is the very same.

maybe she caan go to bridge 20 on the north stratford and find what we stuck on for 90 mins.
Board claimed there was nothing there.
When was this? On the 12th August this year I hit something under bridge 20, I didn’t get stuck but the boat lifted a fair bit, I moored up near the blue bell pub and walked back down to the bridge and waited to watch a couple more boats come through and both boats never hit a thing, so I never reported it as I thought it was just me and I had obviously moved the obstruction out of the way.
