  1. I have a Morso Squirrel fire with a back boiler and air bleed screw, supplying a single radiator in the stern bedroom, where there is an expansion tank. The last time I used the fire, the expansion tank leaked and I replaced the seal, since then, when the thermostat kicks in, the pump sounds like its working, but neither pipe on the radiator gets hot. When I've bled the radiater, water comes out, but no obvious air. The expansion tank has been topped up. Now it's getting a lot cooler at night, can anyone suggest anything I can do to get the radiator hot again ? Cheers
  2. as someone once remarked "thank you, Mrs. Patterson"
  3. Having actually LOOKED at the inverter, it says "inverter / charger" on it !!!
  4. Deeeerrrrions .... Found a rocker switch on one inverter that should do the trick !!! They should tell you this when you buy a boat !! Or maybe it's me not asking the right questions... Thank you both for your swift and knowledgeable replies. I know to to approach for my next stupid question. Thanks again, chers Phil
  5. I don't have an meter to check what is going where
  6. Hi All Still new to all this.... I'm currently in a marina with shore power hooked up. Over the past day or so, when a pump (toilet, sink, heating thermostat) is in use, the lights on the boat dim or go out completely. I have 2 inverters, which are both off - as far as I can tell. Any ideas about the dimming ? It's cause and how I can rectify it ? Cheers Phil
  7. Hi, Thanks for getting back to me... I was sent a list and his name was on it... I gave him a call and he gave me a very good idea of what he was going to do - so I booked him. Good to meet him in the flesh and gave me valuable information and a full survet report next Monday. I'd have no hesitation is strongly recommending to anyone. Cheers Phil
  8. Hi Everyone, I need to get a boat surveyed, so can anyone recommend a surveyor in Cheshire ? Cheers
  9. Thanks very much ...it's just a matter of time !!!
  10. Thanks for the link ... found it ... I'm just trying to be as accurate as I can rather than just throw rough figures at someone. Because i haven't settled on a boat yet, the chart is very useful for my calculations. Thanks again Phil
  11. I can't find the 2017 prices either...
  12. I'm going to buy a narrow boiat ASAP, but cannot locate current / 2018 CRT license costs. i've search the forums, but the links are dead. I'm potentially in negociation about a boat, but need this price to make a proposal. Any help gratefully received. Cheers Phil
