Where my boat was from,, lived there for 14 years. mums grand folk lived around there and worked in mill. Lot of my past history from around there. Going up the Stort always feels like I'm going home.

My boat was built 1970 reg no starts 612. I also have a lloyds small ship reg number from when it was built. I got a lot of info from lloyds. Like me the boats a one and an oddball.

21' then, it's 46' now, I had a brain storm I thought it would be easier to stretch it rather than look for something that was finished, that was 16 years ago. What with work and life it's taken a while. Hindsight and all that.

All stations on stort are on C-L/S line brick lock Roydon slow going, one paddle broke.

My boat was 33' same layout as your wishing to do worked fine for me.

Thames, suitable river, big docks lots of moorings. Perfect for that size of vessel.

Lovely pics on your page, my partner and I helped the wooden boat society bow haul butty (Hazel or lillith) up the marple flight, forget-me-not was motor boat on our weekend trip to Sale. Seeing the photos brought back so memories. That was about 10 or more years ago. Beautiful part of the country.

Pump feed is fine as long as you remember to switch pump on. Your right about lots of noise though when back boiler boils.
