Is it possible to print off the contributions to a thread. With out going through print page move down print page etc
13 minutes ago, AWETHEAYET said:On this site there are thousands of tips, tricks, advise etc. Some of the problem solving threads have many contributions that lead to route cause, these would be usful to print off and put in a folder for when!.
There are links to lots of different, useful topics, items for sale, practical items etc. (perhaps the site could create a "links" thread, where people could drop a simple explanasion of what it is and the link)
I use a word processing software called Scrivener, so I'm not sure if you can do this with word or pages but I can copy and paste the whole of a forum page into that and any links posted on the forum remain active when I paste it into Scrivener. I don't normally do this but just tried it just now as an experiment and it works.
So what I would do is :- On my MacBook - click page to make sure it's active - command A (this highlights the whole page) - right click on the highlighted area - click copy - go to open word (type) document - paste - go to the bottom of the transferred material and hit return, this is where you will copy and paste the next page of forum material. Once you have C&Ped all that you want you may need to do a bit of reformatting and then you can save that hopefully with links that are still active or if you really must print it out then you can do so from this file. I know this is still doing it one page at a time but C&Ping each page is quicker than printing each page plus you can format out all the bits you don't want or need. It's still a bit of a palaver though.
However, what I would actually do is set up a folder in the bookmark section of your internet browser and just bookmark the first post of threads that you think you might want to return to. Simples - as a peculiar Russian ferret seems to say far too often.

It’s a great big thing with a lid and a locking mechanism like something off a submarine. It costs a few grand. Not for home use. I first saw one when a mate had one installed in his fish & chip shop when he took on a ‘Chick King’ franchise.
For home use simply deep-fry.Ah yes, it does sound like something better suited to an industrial setting.
With that recipe I could make a gluten free version. I've never had a KFC (don't keel over TM) but I could give that a go if I found the right gluten free flour.

KFC (and similar outlets) do indeed use a pressure fryer but I’ve used the following recipe with some success:
What is a pressure frier or how do you do it (pressure frying that is) with out mishap?

It was an interesting marketing approach to abuse potential customers
There are some markets where that works quite well I hear, but I know very little about them

Bitching about members soon after joining is unlikely to garner support or approval to advertise your wears
It would seem that the Mods have spoken and approval wasn't given after all.

KFC is the crack cocaine of junk food, tempted to try and cook it myself just to see if I can
There are certainly recipes for it online now, one of them has got to be at least kinda near it. They seem to call for cooking in a pressure fryer which all sounds a bit frightening......

Calling it wild swimming always seems a little strange to me bit like wild camping - I always think that public swimming pools and campsites are the oddities.

I used to run a secondhand goods small business, I've heard every trick in the book and that one is a common one, they are trying to make you feel sorry for them because its not what THEY want, my response to those kind of offers was " you're right it wouldn't suit you , goodbye" .
Or to make you doubt yourself and or the product you're selling - either way yes, quite right not to accept that kind of nonsense.

I read threads like this and think to myself that for all I complain about living and the backend of beyond, it's a place that should never be under estimated or taken for granted. I would be more frightened to catch a mouthful from a public swimming pool than any of our local rivers.

Yes, I have skimmed through it - enough to establish that it is indeed Cropredy - but Mrs. Athy will want to watch it too, so I hope she can conjure it up on the T.V.
Fascinating. I have vaguely heard of them, but assumed that they were something like an I-Pod or I-Phone, i.e. a physical object rather than just a channel. But I assume that not all tellies have this facility. Ours is a quite modern flat-screen model, so perhaps it has.
Yeah - might be best to wait till your wife gets back and she can sort it out for you. ?

I'm not sure we have one of those, but I'll ask the Supreme Televisual Commander when she gets home from work.
The iPlayer isn't something you have, it's something you access like a public library but for BBC TV.

Blast! We missed it, even though we had been looking out for it.
The episode? As of today it will be available on iPlayer for 29 days.

I think Pud has worked out for her self what she needs now, but as I'm late to the party if anybody else I'd wondering then searching caravan/campervan suppliers for 'table storage brackets' or a 'table storage kit' will find you what you need. The turny bit by its self it sometimes called a turn button but is usually called a turnbuckle however make sure if searching for these you use plastic in you search terms or you will get something different, like shown in the above picture, wire tensioners for a yachts standing rigging, though if you ever decide that Mable needs a May Pole they're probbly a good place to start.

He didn't say he didn't, he just asked if it was possible.

I put video8 to dvd into amazons search box and got loads of things that say the will do the job, one example is what ever this thing is.
For £40 quid you can do it from the comfort of your own home...

I read the original years ago, didn't know there was a sequel
They were actually written by K.W. Jeter - I don't know if Jeter is to PKDick what Brandon Sanderson is to Robert Jordan, but he's definitely like Kevin J Anderson (but less prolific) as in he may have got the Blade Runner books because he'd already done the Star Wars novelisations.
Am I over geeking here. Probably.

I'm not sure what your saying here, are you suggesting this is the future of smartphones
Not sure I'm completely happy with that, how do they fit in a standard pocket?
Yes...
Certainly you would need man sized pockets you can't fit anything in the pockets of women's clothes.
P.S. The Edge of Human & Replicant Night were the sequels to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

Printing Thread

Well yes, it doesn't matter what document you copy into if you can only copy as much as you can highlight. I don't know if you are using an Apple product because what I can do is save the thread as a PDF ebook in Apple Books again only one page at a time but this (other than bookmarks) is by far the easiest way I have to save posts offline. Two clicks and the page is saves to Books.
