Meaning of BISSUMS : numerology analysis. This path stands for creativity, adaptability, expression, sociability, originality, sensitivity and communication.

I am open to the fact that I've spelt it wrong - but I meant a naughty person.

Thanks chucky egg.:)don't know how to do clashing  pint pots.

When you click on the smilie face and it gives you the box of emojis - in the top right corner it says categories click on that then on emoticons 45 and you will find a whole new world of silliness. :icecream::sick::judge::banghead::help::clapping::wub::giggles::boat::hug:

My internet is so slow that my posts keep getting screwed up.

Rusty69's gonna laugh at me again.

The "vision" appears to be a canal filled with boats which pay high mooring fees, and don't move. Who needs operating bridges, anyway? :wacko::(

So it's a cunning ploy - the bissums.

But seriously, the Bridge 49 Bistro is such a nice place to stop - it's pretty dire that they can't get a visitor mooring.

Rodley last year in non-riverworthy condition, also showing fenders

It might not be everybody's cup of tea - but then its only their boat, so fair play to them, if that boat feels like home to them then job done. And they have put a lot of thought and work into it. The washing machine front is just a bit too much for me though.... :captain:

Same here. The bit that wrecked it for me was the door fitted upside down. Seriously offensive!

I'm all for some ingenuity but but a trip to the cowp for a bit of scrapheap challenge it just more than I can bear.

This was spotted at Granary Wharf in Leeds last week. Its a bit more permanent than the Foxtons raft. It is unpowered. It has a registration number and the online checker confirms the boat is licenced, although no licence was on display. But it isn't listed on Canalplan.

Legit but quirky? Or the beginning of canal squatting in the north?

I almost quite liked the top picture in a steampunk kinda way. It almost had me at the church organ parts - and then this second picture loaded and it lost me at the.... well, at the whole of the port side.

  10. Well guys this is fantastic! :clapping:

I just popped over for a look at your website and I would definitely book a holiday with you (but I have a dog so I would have to work round that).

As someone who is single it is really difficult if not impossible to book a holiday on a canal as I don't fancy the bigger hotel boats and can't single hand a hire boat, this is a great way to do it.

I wish you all the best.

I too spent a long time balancing on the cusp of buying IAN. Lovely boat, lovely JP2 engine! But having owned a wooden boat before, common sense won the day.

I know - I knew that I didn't have the experience or the funds to do him justice.  But anybody dares to tell me that he isn't being restored to his former self I'll cry.

I could almost see him being bought just for the JP2 engine.
