My father was born at The Basin, Armitage near Rugeley, Staffordshire(1924) The Basin consisted of a few pit cottages and stables for the horses that worked the canal. The buildings have long since gone and my father left the area 60 years ago. He would love to have a photograph of The Basin area/ cottages but despite a number of enquiries with the Staffordshire record office/colleries etc I have had no luck. Perhaps your members will have an idea of where I can look next or someone may even remember The Basin and the Harvey family. A long shot but thankyou for looking
