  1. I'm in Worcester at the moment. Searching for Morris Marine on Google gets lots of stuff on Morris Marinas - who'd have thought there was any of them left.
  2. It might be a bit earlier than the BMC as I uncovered a small logo with MM on it - presumably Morris Marine.
  3. I've just been out to measure - the main casing is 9" (228.5mm) front to back and the front of the housing is 11.5" diameter (292mm)
  4. Yes, it does indeed have a brake band for reverse. The main parts i'm hoping to get are a set of clutch plates, as the exisiting ones have very little phosphor bronze left on them. I don't suppose you can pin it down any more than that can you Richard? Are there any specific identifying features?
  5. I was having trouble getting the forum to accept the picture - it doesn't seem to like googledrive! Does that Facebook link work?
  6. Can anyone help me identify this gearbox and if possible find a source for parts? It was mated to a Petter AVA2 which dates to 1961, so I presume it is of similar vintage. I have seen various similar gearboxes which may come from the Newage/Morris/BMC stable, but I still can't find a definitive identification. Any suggestions gratefully received. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=974019135970373&set=a.262439240461703.60361.100000868860945&type=3&theater
