  1. Did you solve this the help the oil is 20/50 engine oil , the dipstick is ( in ur picture) the lower left hand corner unscrew the large cap that is the did stick

  6. Hiya all I'm in the process of buying a narrow boat told to be built in 1968 by whittle boat builders but can't find any info relating to said company other that a place in America and a Marina can anyone help

  9. How did u get on with this ? Was it copper or bronze ? Sorry to restart the thread but am thimking of making a keel cooler from copper then dipong in resin to protect ? Would this be ok tho i understand that id loose sum heat trasfer but was going to go oversized anyway ! This will be gitter to a grp hull so would i need anodes ?

Chears guys few peeps at my boatyard have said it can be done with 1" dia pipe 10ft long ( 5hp per foot ) but od probly double that to make shaw Is a project bot trying to keep costs down as a hell of alot of work and keel cool to prolong the engies life. ! Not shaw wether to use copper or ss or galvinised
  12. Need help sizing a keel cooler for a ford xld 418 engine rated at 50hp boat is a 23ft grp will be going theams and canal ( hopefully) What pipe can i use ? Copper, galvanised , stainless , could o us grp or plastic ?? Thanks for ur help Steve
  13. Lol have a out drive , back end kit ect have a few people i know that have other bits im getting aswell tank in theary is up front battery n wireing will ok as make looms all the time for bikes n trikes gona print off the bss stuff later if my printer plays ball !

  15. Cool so no neet to re enforce the base as such just the bearers ? Had a outbort but boat atm is a hull n top only tolay riped out Sorry forgot to say thank u !! Have aprox 5 ft from trans to cabin so more than enof room to fit 2nd question how the fk do i lift the motor that hi in to the hull !!
  16. Hiya peeps Looking for advice / help on instaling a ford fiesta engine ( xld) endura enging in to my grp boat Ashuming i nee to reenforce the hull botttom but hm and with what ? Could i glass in ply on the hull ? Then ad engin stringers on top of that ? Any help greatfull !!

  18. Me n the missis and our lil boy are considering moving to a boat ( currently live in a static caravan on canvey island ) they have planning to build houses so a sort of being force off ( may be a few years tho )
