  9. This is the reply I got for Lancing and to be honest it doesn't mean that much to me! > This engine is a very rare Industrial version of the 1.8, > as > it has an externally-driven raw water pump mounted out on > the starboard side. not internally driven like a standard > 1.8, or Immediately above the crankshaft pulley like a > 1.6. > > I believe the sea water pump can go on the front of the circulation > pump, and that the fitment should use an adapter > with a bore of 1.183" (30mm) and 4 bolt holes on a 2.000" > pitch circle diameter. > If you can confirm these dimensions, I can have a > replacement mount block made. 10. I have a Ford XLD 1.8 engine. The waterpump is leaking and the pulley is moving a great amount, so I think the pump needs replacing? There is a single V belt that runs around the Cam, alternator and pump. I contacted Lancing Marine and they said it was an old type setup. Can anyone help please? Many Thanks Mac

  12. Hi and thanks! I think it is tar; I am burning wood, and Flamebright coal, and have the same problem however, the coal is wet too! Are these double skinned chimneys readily available? Ta Mac ..... Just thought of that
  13. Hi Folks! This is my first winter onboard; I have noticed that while I have the fire burning there is a residue running down from the chimney housing and making a real mess of the paintwork. The chimey is new, but the roof fitting is a bit rusty, so could this be the problem? Does anyone else have this problem and how can I cure it? Many Thanks Mac

How high was this build and would it be taken down in summer? I could build a permanent fixture, a bit like a barge type, but what is the maximum hight I could go? thanks again Mac
