  1. 300 pounds is peanuts Can I have a couple of packets Please.
  2. Take it back to where you brought it and ask for the "complete" battery which is what you purchased! Not the plastic lead holder which is what you got.
  3. Hi again Don't know if I'm just lucky but my system will hold its pressure for up to two weeks. If I leave the boat and turn everything off, come back after a fortnight and turn the power back on the pump still will not cut in. I have an accumulator tank but not a big one! As another thought have you looked at the outlets from your sinks etc. If you are able you could try to isolate your internal water system (either drain the tank or shut down the main valve) turn off the power to your pump and clear the water from your bilges. Give it a day or so, I know, not easy on a live aboard! But if the water is coming in as fast as you say you will not have to wait that long. If you don't fill with water your problem is the domestic side, if you do fill up its probably coming in from outside. If you are certain its coming in from outside the next step would be try and get the boat out of the water and hopefully the water will drip back out of the same hole. Then all you have to do is plug it! But I don't think life is that easy. Good luck John
  4. Hi you don’t say if you water pump cuts in on its own i.e. at night when nobody is running water from the taps. If it does you could have a leak in your domestic pipe work which is causing the problem. Good luck John

  7. Hello Noah Thanks for your comments. Regarding the curtain centre supports, I only used 8mm rod and found the centre sagged when the curtains were closed. I did find however that the centre support gave a bit more strength to the bottom rails if anybody brushed against them as they walked through the boat. The speakers under the gunnels are part of a cheap surround sound home cinema system I got from Asda. I think is was around the £30 mark. It has a sub woofer and five small speakers but in the confines of the boat is sound remarkably good. Hope that’s helps you. Good luck with your fit out. Regards John

  11. Hi from Gill and John We launched our 60' semi trad Phoenix on the 2nd Sept at Gayton and have now moved up to Wigram Turn. Phoenix is a self build that has taken me almost two years to get into the water. I have just become a member of you forum but have been a guest for around three years. So can I now say thank you for all the information you have given us as guests through the various forums. You may not have known it but you have helped me a lot. I only hope I can now pass on some of the things I have learnt to others. I look fowards to meeting many of you on the cut. Thanks John & Gill NB Phoenix
