not apples and apples but after an awful few months, things have picked up here too
I now find myself constantly checking that page to see how much your panels are generating

It says it is 1/4 scale. I guess that it is much less than that. At 1/4 scale the model would need to be 18 feet long.
N
As it says on the 2nd link "Its a 1/4 scale radio controlled model that is 18 feet long and weighs 1/3 tonne"

16 degrees? Brrrr!
I'm at work during the day, and 16 deg is fine when you're under a blanket! keep it ticking over at that to keep the boat aired!
-
Vctoria Plum had a similar 'concept' to what you are thinking of, but it was a 13 foot long 'workshop' rather than an additional boat.
I'd forgotten about that one, looks like tractor top links as a tensioner.

Hell fire, I buy 2 25kg bags of excel every other saturday, and I normally have quite a lot left over. Thats with the boatman lit 24/7, backboiler with 1 rad, keeping the boat at about 16 deg through day and night, 22deg through the evening whilst I watch TV

I own 2 cruisers, and have been cruising them together for just about a year now single handed. Towing on cross straps with the boats 1ft apart its ok going between the 2 boats even when underway, breasted together it's also not an issue, or pushing one with the other (just on tight ratchet straps stern-bow) its almost one boat, just annoying if the pushed boat is taller than the boat doing the pushing!

Had it on my LG G3, found it horribly slow and unusable so got rid.

Thanks folks, I will phone them tomorrow as I obviously should have had something by now. I haven't changed my email address but rather worryingly, when I tried to log in on the C & RT web site it said that that email address was blocked!
I am sure it will all be sorted out.
Thanks again,. Haggis
Are you on restricted licence? They sometimes block accounts of people "under enforcement"

Tony is correct, if you intend using lights then you should read the appropriate regs and buy /fit the correct lights or not bother at all. I did see NB sporting red lights on the starboard side and green on the port side, also seen one boat with blue stern light. Could have confused the hell out of other boasters
Phil
One of my boats came with (and admittedly still has) a blue stern light for some reason, god knows why it's there!

Obviously didn't complete a power audit!!

Seen it, it's been there a while with Rugby Boats, whilst that Kelvin is the bees knees I think it's way to big and heavy for 60ft,
Also well deck on a Northwich Trader don't do it for us.
We'd not be adverse to a mega refit on that shell but getting on for it's current £70,000 has more than taken all it's money. thanks anyway
To be honest they're my exact thoughts about Ariel as well! 60 footers don't come up all that often though (neither do the 70s for that matter!).

Being of the centrifugal type pump, I would guess that the inlet is the one inline, outet at 90deg.

I have welded die cast ally before, it isn't impossible.
-
It is die cast, you can't weld it
Richard
Maybe YOU can't.
-
I'm guessing it's this one?
If so, it really should be an easy weld job for anyone competent - a damn sight cheaper than a new morse lever.
-
Surely its much more effective/efficient to have the panel charging a small 12v battery, and then charging your devices from that?

Greenlaw is for sale with ABNB if you're after a converted big Woolwich.

Oh god that's beautiful! I need it!!!!!

Is the law now you must have a double?
Not for BSS, no.
-
What is the difference between single and double lined, in terms of benefits?
Single skin gets hotter externally (more risk of burning yourself/roof lining), twin wall keeps its heat better so allegedly draws better, and is a lot safer near flammable surfaces.

MTB i wonder if you could do me a small favor, or anyone else who has the latest version of the boatman stove.
I am looking to see if you can fit two casserole type dishes on the top, towards the front, either side if the flu, if so what size (Diameter) ?
Thanks
Depends on the size of the casserole dish! Mine (20cm ish diameter) overhangs the front of the hotplate, but that's partly down to using twin fall flue the whole length

Sorry I cant put video on ,it exceeds the limit, but will persist it shows my dihatsu 4 track pulling boat home
From burton waters,so a screen shot is best I can do at presant springer weighs 2750 kg
Trailer 700 kg so only just legal, boat is 7.5 meters long
If any car can do the job, its definitely a Fourtrak!!!
-
A boat a few spaces down from me has one fitted, and I'm sure it's louder than my generator!! Ban 'spachers between 8 and 8, that's what I say! (and get a proper heating system that you put coal onto)

and any shading of individual panels will have less effect on the overall efficiency.
Shading of individual panels wired in series has MORE effect on the overall efficiency
Sunshine Solar Inverters
in Boat Equipment

I've been using a sunshine solar inverter for 12 months, my first one went knackered in 3 days running the fridge, it got replaced under warranty and this one has been perfect ever since.
