    Thank's George. I will have a go tomorrow, I don't suppose you know which side it is to reduce the bands diameter, as when I took the top plate off I got showered in oil when I started the engine. I guess you make a small adjustment then put the side door back on to try the lever with the engine running?

    I have just inherited a parsons gearbox on an jp2 it works fine forward but not in reverse although it does try. Any ideas how to adjust the reversing clutch mech?
