Hi all, perhaps you electrical/electronics could shine some light on a bit of a problem.
Yesterday I used my Victron Multi plus 12/1600/70 inverter/charger and put it on in the charge position connected to shore power I then started the engine and realised that the Victron was connected so switched of and shut down the engine.
my 1st question is can a Victron be OK being on with the engine running and being in this state.
on later turning the Victron back on again connected to shore power and to the charge position to have smoke and arcing going in the unit.
when I opened the unit it has burn / arc marks on three of the six metal key like components where they connect to a three pin thing ?
any ideas !
Finally if all kaput is there any UK repairers or does it have to go to Holland.
