Thanks Steve, Husband and brother-in-law are avid steam train buffs so that is certainly on my to do list ;-) Hoping to fit in a ride on the train and explore the town, so 2nd days cruising would have to be only a few hours before we need to stop somewhere for the night. Cheers Jayne

HI all, Have booked a 7 night narrow boat hire from Trevor over the Easter period 2014. Would ideally like to head straight up to Llangollen and overnight there on the first night. Then explore Langollen on Sunday and head off mid-late afternoon to continue on. There will by 6 on the boat ranging in age from 45-87 yrs, so we're after a relaxing, no stress cruise. Any suggestions on how far to travel each day (while still getting to explore any interesting places), best places to overnight, pubs or places to get reasonably priced evening meals, or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
