  1. cheers happy bunny much appreciated ...... lovin the safety notes as it could have been a long thread without pointing out the safety side of bikes onboard in a month or two my search starts and the big front deck is top priority for my needs ,,because as well a CC the system i still want to attend the m/bike rallies,in the season. have sent you a message re the photo ride safe and keep the shiny side up and in our case "out of the water"
  2. Many thanks for all the links / comments and ideas ..muchly appreciated and printer has been working o/time to save these for "the Day" cheers guys
  3. http://www.grannybut...arrowboats.html http://www.grannybut...-turntable.html http://www.grannybut...narrowboat.html cheers for those links ...and yes agree with you Keith at 66 i won't be running anyone down ,,,def picking my spot and walking it to a ride able place
  4. Hi guys agreed on that as different styles etc ..but would be very interested in seeing what has been done before , just want a design that will be of use and compliment the boat rather than being a mismatch ...thanks again
  5. hi not as yet will be buying in november ,,boat will be semi trad or cruiser ...bike have at moment is harley so has to go sadly as too heavy will be looking to buy a trail style the same width as boat obviously, ...just can't be without a bike as its my way of blowing a few cobwebs away ...cheers
  6. Hi All ...have heard a few people mention they store their M/B on their boat ,,,could really appreciate if there are any photos about , so I can give a fabricator some idea of styles and my needs for my style of bike ...thanks in advance ,,terry
  7. hi ...many thanks for all your input on my post ..both informative and sometimes amusing ..it is coming across very clearly that if you rush about, you will make mistakes. so my search will continue for the boat that suits my needs, and of course taking consideration of all the posts on here .... watch this space to see how I get on ....thanks to you all that posted ---top people
  8. Hi all ...been doing endless research on the forum and have found it awesome, as a lot of my worries have been answered over the many pages ...but i'm 66 very fit and intend to be a live aboard and a CC..my short list of suitable boats are coming in at 56ft my worry will this cause me grief in locks,,, great if there are willing helpers, but in the depths of winter, there will be times that I will have to manage that size of boat alone. I have experience on the system with friends and i now need to cross the T's etc for going solo- your input would be very helpful ----thanks
