    Ok so i now realise that my post was completely inaccurate in terms of what I actually meant to say, but what i really meant was that they wanted to save some money, because they didn't' need the 4 bedroom house any more, and it is now getting to be a waste of money. I'm not really sure what word covers that!

    So overall you believe the HS2 is a necessary evil? i'm not sure what your position in all this is, but I do agree that it is slightly hypocritical to say that the Canal should get priority because it was here first, when if that was the case it wouldn't even be there in the first place!

    My parents are coming up to retirement, and are considering investing in a barge, because of the cost-effectiveness. What size would be best for two 60-somethings to buy in terms of feet?

    I've been out for a year now building up my list of favourite mooring spots round Warwickshire, but I was just wondering where other people liked going too. I'm not sure how that is spam but ok

    Will be doing a post soon about the best places in Britain to moor, whether it be Permanent or Temporary, so was just wondering where the best place you've ever moored was, and why it was so good?

    Thanks! I also agree, when i see all the maintenance work that could make a real difference to our canals, not being done, then see all these projects spouting up about, as you say, the "rare" water plants, and the like. I think i will write a post about this, once i collect all the data I need. Cheers again
