Thanks for all your suggestions. When I phoned the council they said their would be no problem with claiming housing Ben for a boat! Others have said it can be done but you have to fight for it. I'm assuming that wether moored or roaming it would be legitimate ? Denise

Hello. I have a friend who wants to hire a boat to live on. He has two young teens and a dog. The children go to school in harefield , middlesex and so they would need to be fairly local to this area. He will be applying for housing benefit initially till he gets settled and can look for work. Many thanks, denise

Hello. Can anyone help me? I have a friend with two young teens and a dog, who need to rent a boat (preferably not a narrow one) to live in. They need to be as near to the children's school as they can be which is in Harefield, Middlesex. They will also be applying for housing benefit to cover rental/ mooring costs. Does anyone know of a boat for rent or of anyone who can help me further? Many thanks, denise
