  1. Looking at the spec of the unit the fully charged led comes on from 13.5 volts.
  2. Hi Tony, I am not sure on that one I will check and see what it does. Thanks Trev
  3. Hi thanks for that. Its an IVT MPPT Solar Panel Charge Controller Regulator 30 A MPPT. Bought from ebay. They ship from germany. They are still selling them. Dont know if its adjustable or not I have emailed the company and am awaiting a reply. Trev
  4. Hi, Brain picking time please....... I have some solar panels regulated by an MPPT controller. I have a separate display module which indicates what the panels are producing etc. I also have Smartgauge/Smartbank fitted. The issue i have is that the MPPT regulator indicates that the batteries are fully charged when according to Smartgauge they are only at 75% or 80% state of charge. I am concerned that the regulator will be reducing the output from the panels as it thinks the batteries are fully charged. The regulator has a 'LOAD' connection which I have not used but could a direct connection from this to the battery bank overcome the 'fully charged' issue? Has anyone had a similar issue? Thanks Trev.
  5. Hi, we came down the Nene from Peterborough to the GU about three weeks ago and no problems with any weed then. Trev.
  6. Thanks for that. I used to have an old Saab 900 and a steel bar to whack the motor when it stuck. Kept it going for months!
  7. Has anyone got a cocooned Beta 43 engine? I am having occasional problems with the starter motor sticking so looking to take off and clean but cant get to it! Looks like an engine out job or at least lifed sufficiently to get at it! Anyone have a similar setup? Thanks.
  8. Hi, thanks for that. My two 136w panels are wired in parallel. So my controler would be ok if I added two 68w wired in series then in parallel with the 136's?
  9. Hi, I am currently running two PVL 136W unisolar stick on panels via an IVT 30 amp MPPT controler. Looking at the figures I think I am exceeding the voltage already! Each panel has a max open circuit voltage of 46.2 volts and the controler has a max of 70 volts! The additional panels I am looking to get are also PVL stick on but 68 amps and they have an open circuit voltage of 23 volts. So would I be right in thinking that my controler will be okay for a 136w and a 68w making around 70 volts open circuit?
  10. Yes thats what i thought but just wondered if I had missed anything? Thanks
  11. Looking for advice please re MPPT controlers. Have looked on other threads but cant find any answers there. I already have solar panels with an MPPT controler which are working well. I am looking to get more panels but this will increase the wattage and open voltage to outside the limits of my present MPPT controler. I have seen an MPPT controler that will cope with the increased wattage etc but it is £545.00!! My question is could I get a second MPPT controler and split the panels and have two running at the same time? The reason being I am happy with my current MPPT controler and can get one for uner £200.00. Any thoughts please? Thanks. trev
  12. Might be worth checking your fuses. When this happened to me I had inadvertently shorted something which blew a main fuse and stopped the buzzer working. Trev.
  13. Hi, anyone replaced a Beta 43 driveplate? Got the gearbox and bell housing off but cant get the flywheel and driveplate off. Can't see anything holding it. Tapped it but it won't budge. Any thoughts please? Thanks. Trev.
  14. What experience is that then?
  15. I am sure you can buy powdered water and just dilute it?
  16. I was talking to an ex merchant seaman yesterday. He has just had a new bespoke boat built and specifed a four bladed prop. His arguement being that with three blades in the traditional 'y' shape that one (at the bottom of the rev) is actually doing the work while the others( at the top) are 'coasting' as they are too close to the surface to be effective. So a four bladed prop gives better drive through the water? Anyone got one?
  17. Yeah will prob do that. We are not far from them and bought some stuff from them last year for the vacuflush. Ta
  18. Hi, it pumps to a large tank. Just about to get down and dirty with it this morning :-(
  19. Hi guys, our vacuflush has just stopped working! The pump does not run and the switch on the main board has tripped out. Resetting the switch just sees it trip out again. I am thinking the pump is u/s. the pump did seem to have been 'labouring' over the last two or three weeks, running slightly slower than normal but still apparently working ok. what would cause the switch to trip? Thanks Trev
  20. Hi Tony, my boat passed the BSS just before I bought it with Black battery cables on all batteries and the pos identified by red insulation tape wrapped around the cabe ends.

  22. Hi, not trading just for personal use.
  23. Thanks for that. Brilliant. According to my calcs it will only cost about £65.00 to import plus insurance. Could be a runner! Thanks for taking the time Natalie and finding that calculator.
  24. yes I read rogers post with interest and have been in touch with Midsummer Energy re their panels. It is one they advertise on their site that is for sale in the states at nearly half price.
  25. The bondage whorehouse sounds interesting!
