RodDavis downtime

Hi I am planning to move my boat from Pyrford Marina on the River Wey upto Cropredy Marina at the end of march / early april. There are 2 possible routes, up the thames to Oxford then up the Oxford South or get on the Grand Union at Brentford and loop round at Brauntston to the Oxford South. I know the GU route is longer but wondering about going up the Thames at that time of the year against the flow might not be wise. Would be interested in anyones thoughts.

Hi I am looking for a supplier of cushion seating suitable for the lockers on a semi trad, both front and backs lockers on a boat. Does anyone know of any suppliers that can provide these, I have done a search on the internet and cannot find anything. Thanks

Excellent thanks for the comments, I hope that the polish approach will work but just wanted a view as to how much I should budget for in case I want a repaint. The boat is only 2005 built so the polish approach should work. Thanks

We are thinking of buying a boat but the paintwork is a bit faded, a good polish may do the job but want to factor in the cost of getting the boat repainted, the boat is a 52ft Semi Trad,. The boat has been recently blacked so only needs the external paintwork redone. Can anyone advise a trypical cost for getting a boat repainted.

Very worrying, we have a boat currently in build with them, I have emailed and tried to contact them, last time I spoke with them a week ago they we moving premises from market Drayton to the ripley site where they build the hulls. I will keep you posted on any updates I get.

Downtime at 50ft Semi Trad being built by Stillwater Narrowboats, a bit of a late start, we were due to have it in the water for June this year, then delayed to August and now November, but the steelwork has started. We will be mooring it a Cropredy Marina and there was a worry that the marina wouldn't be ready in time but not an issue now. I will post pictures and progress as it becomes available.
