  1. I haven't really Been on this forum long & the short Time I have i have realise it's full of obnoxious pr**ks.... I've nothing to do with Lakeland estates for the second time am just a youngish unsnobby boater. Somethink which the cut has very few off! I was mearly asking wot was different between Tattenhall & Aquaduct marina.

Lonerowl i genuinely too love the stretch of the shroppie between Barbridge & Chester . So I had a choice of golden nook or Tattenhall the previous have no hook up. So I was asking about the marina

    Lonewolf even

  2. Lonewolf I don't no why your hmmmm on your post but i rang up Aquaduct, Swanley & overwater & all three told me there was a waiting list for most sizes.

Comfortable numb thanks for your comments regarding the pubs in Villages. Is that u Steve From Runcorn boat club?

  3. Thanks for all your replies. Yesterday I pick Briadbars hire boat Tiree up. Moored just outside Lord Verons Wharf last night. Today we set off at 8.30 & cruised down the "mac" to Marple & on the PF canal to Bugworth basin. We're we are now moored!! Truely beautiful here. & Tiree wot can I say its a braidbar :-))

Just had a few in the Navigation inn now back on board.

  4. Yes, it's at least a mile, and it's definitely down hill -- which means it's uphill on the way back!

Cheers guys. adam ive been reading your blog over the last few days right from when you first bought brair rose. Excellent read!!!!

  5. aww shouldnt be too bad with central heating but id much prefer a boat with a stove!

i no Norbury wharf on the shroppie hire all year &have a few boats with stoves. also Anglo welsh do have alovely 58ft 2 berth with a stove. and middlewich narrowboats

  6. Does anyone on here moor at the stated marina? As today I drove over to have a look round & see if they had any aviable moorings. They had quite a few think its only half full to be honest. Anyway wot do you think of the place how come its not full? When there is a waiting list at the likes of Aquaduct marina & Swanley. & overwater??

  7. i wonder why they have striped it of its name etc? am very surprised they are selling willow and most of the other trad boats. i would certainly sell Holly if any. as when we last hired from them they said it was hardly booked at all.

The hudson tug 66 ft larch is just beautiful and you are right have a squirrel stove in the saloon & a small epping in the back cabin

  8. am sure any boat hire company would provide you with a months hire and you should get a good price. shop around. i think most of the stoppages end around the 10th march and the season begins so id look at booking from around then.

i would try middlewhich narrowboats up north

  9. Am looking into hiring a boat over this winter in or around Cheshire or Staffordshire which has a stove at the back?

The reason for this is am looking at buying my own boat next week. And want to see wot winter crusibg us like. I Dout we will cruise far. But it would be nice to have the warmth when we do.

Sprotbrough (in case you don't know) is on the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation which is possibly exactly what you are looking for.

I have no idea if they are any good, but the boats look very nice.
