When we used to have a time share with canaltime okokok yes I no but we was newbies we had a few enjoyable nights in the Samuel Barlow on our last night before returning boat to Alvecote. Although did have a bad experience one night there that nearly put me off boating for life. But that's for another chapter
-
sorry if i offended you Chuggy but the all looked permently moored to me. Were are you planning on putting them all ??
you do have a good fleet now thou you will be overtaking your local competer now.
good luck

Dont like to say.... but you guys know just about everything thats going on yes?
Haha of course we do. Wot boats you got from Norbury then? That's some fleet you have now how many boats will you have? Are you still keeping the current fleet you have or you getting rid of any!?? Come on spill the beans?

the times I've rang around asking for quotes to hire Nantwich canal centre were the most expensive. In Nov 2010 I rang up to enquire about a boat they had then it had leather recliners & a long burner 4 berth can't remember name anyway I rang up the week I wanted it as a late deal & was quoted £1120 for 7 days hire now that's a peak time hire price not put of season I eventually hired Latch from Middlewich when it was run by Adam for about £400 and got 10 days on it. I never rang them again as was scared wot the would charge

Yes the L&L is challenging to say the least with the big heavy lock gates and swing ridges
-
Very sad indeed

Yes early starts I suppose & early finishes haha!

If recommend hiring from canal boat escapes Barnoldswick hired with them I think 2 years a go very family run outfit. Lovely boats we hired Grace & got to Leeds at RTN in a week but it was August so long days the route & views are just stunning there is a stretch were the canal is contouring the hills by zig zagging its way and really is just beautiful. The only problem we had was that some of the locks were manned but only between 8-3 I think and was locked up after this time so you couldn't self operate.
Although you say that they would like to a ring so I'd highly recommend the four counties ring. Lots to see and do and includes the harecastle tunnel and the Cheshire locks

I had a friend moor at Blisworth marina for about 2 years lovely marina. I never went down by boat but drove & stayed over a few times
-
Tattenhall is on the shroppie 7 miles before Chester
I did use to use canal plan but I thought it had gone as couldn't find it when googling it
-
Well of course Tattenhall I moor there and would highly recommend it there but.....I thought it was a bit to far away. When I was looking for a mooring in oct Venetien marina said that the were upgrading the jetties so had half the marina missing and its on going till next July so couldn't take any new boaters in till then. Aquaduct has a waiting list got 50footer anyway.

Aquaduct marina Moddlewich branch
Overwater marina Audlem

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE & ALL.
Do anyone have any trip plans for 2013. I want to travel down to birmingham if possible. Does amybody know how long this would take rusing 6 hours a day from Tattemhall?
-
Would you get up the on the shroopie or T&M? Highly unlikely you would get up Hurlston locks as boats struggle being 6ft10.
-
Many thanks no it was somethink to do with the stove as it was me & my partner who had headaches
I love a MFS on the boat but this has worried me
