    Hi every one .I am thinking of adding to my existing solar panels .i cannot see the make of the control box but if I could explain what it looks like maybe someone could tell me which one I have .it is 12inch long by 9inch deep blue in colour with this written on it ,solar charge controller ,emppt series with maximum power point tracking , I would put a photo up but I'm not very savvy on how to do that ,,could I just add too the 2x100w panels I have or not I'm sorry but I don't have any idea on how to go about  this thanks for reading

    Not an hour ago I was just sitting on the back of the boat .and for no reason it felt like someone stood on the Gunwale enough to make the boat rock and enough for me to get out of my seat to see what made it rock the way it did ,not only my boat but the one in front also rocked ,,I have heard the shroppie is haunted but I have also heard most places are lol I now I should not ask but what could have caused that  ..

    Yes I agree with dor .i have come across this twice we use to have horses while out hacking one day I use to all ways stop and admire the swans and there 6signets then 5/4/3/2/1 ,,so I asked the park ranger where have all the baby signits gone .eastern europeans have taken them ..same again on the river 7 they catch the barbel and take them away also ,the river bayliff showed my fella where they had killed and gutted the barbel .the authoritys now this goes on day in day out and do nothing about this .its there way of life .yes it may be in what ever country they come from .but it's not done here sorry ...in no way is this racist in what I am saying its just fact I'm afraid

    From fencing the edge of the cut off to filling it in with some sort of rubber matting ..there is only one word for the humour on canalworld ,,and that's brilliant keep it up folks ,the subject matter always always starts of with the very best of intentions ,,,but then after about 10 replys ,it slowly starts going the way most post go downhill ,and me for one just enjoy the funny replys ,,as long as know one gets hurt to much by it ,when I am feeling a bit glum which is not very often ,,read canalworld posts .if they don't make you chuckle ,,well what can I say ,,,,,let me think what can I say .?????

    I'm with junior on this .it can not be much fun or holiday checking out every boat you pass .,some weeks back I moored up ,Said hello to this guy turned out he knew more abt my boat then me ,even knew my. Name ,,I said how did you know that ,,oh it's so app I use ,,how boring and sad  is that ,,

  14. Tyrley locks thanks

    This morning we approached Tyrley locks there where 6 boats in front of us waiting at at lock 5 ,by the time it was our turn there was about 10 boats behind us ,I would like to know how many more where there after we had got to lock 1. I would like to just say a very big thank you to the Pegram family of the boat pearl,,arron Davies Kimberly family of the boat idun , and others who took it upon on there selves to help most boats if not all of them through the locks adding to this all those helpers were of hire boats ,so here's a big thumbs up and a thank you ,,hope you all enjoy the rest of your hols 

     

  17. Wide beam envy?

    If I could go where I go in my narrowboat I would have a wide beam  tomorrow  then again if I could afford one I would have one today. I still can not get use to being looked at by other narrowboaters as if I should not be there  on the same canal as them  I put them in the idiot bracket they now who they are probably the same people who look down on the widebeams

    Hi ,yesterday I was coming around the corner at hurleston jct and I have never seen a narrowboat going that fast ever , there was a couple walking on the towpath and they too where amazed , the wake of the said boat came over on to the towpath and they had to jump out of the way of it ,,I don't know if they where having trouble engine wise or not it was going that fast I could not ask . I now it should not but it did make me smile did anyone else come across this  ,

    Hi is this too much to ask a friend of ours as just emailed me .to tell me mutual friends of ours where having there summer in there travel home .going to different parts of the country they got to fradley jct. then it happend the engine in the camper as blown and it has to have a recon fitted but this is going to take 5/6weeks .so they booked the selfs into on of the chalets at fradley but they can only stay there till Friday .so here's the thing does any know of any were they could maybe stay. Like a caravan maybe boat sitting ..they would of course pay .they are mid 60s couple and lovely people they do have a little place in portugal and were going back there in september there camper is being fixed at a place in featherstone near wolverhamton any ideas would be apprecited kind regards

    Every morning around 7.30 CRT go to perry Barr locks and riders green .to check the pounds  .and that's every morning so it seems to me it's crts job .i just get on with it myself if CRT turn up yippee if not tough
